Why I became a Therapist
I joined the Air Force in 1995, and graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 2001. Molly and I got married two days after graduation, we were on our way to pilot training in Texas when the Twin Towers fell on September 11th.
Our marriage was difficult from the beginning, and we eventually started couples therapy. We spent years bouncing from one therapist to the next, trying to find someone who could actually help us. We were the difficult couple that therapists didn't know what to do with.
Eventually, we found a new therapist who used David Schnarch’s Crucible Therapy. She was much more direct and intense than anyone we had worked with previously. She was also ferociously dedicated to the challenge of helping us save our marriage. Slowly but surely, she helped us untangle the web of lies we were trapped in.
I decided I wanted to become capable of helping couples the way she had helped us. I opened Roseville Couples Counseling in 2023, and since then, I have worked with over 400 couples in the Roseville area and around the world.
I believe in the power of couples therapy to change the world.
Every time a couple learns to truly love each other, the blessings of that love filtered down to their children and eventually their grandchildren. That is why I do what I do.
